Features of panel factory pattern in July:

As Samsung, LG and other South Korean companies have pulled out of the LCD panel industry, prices for LCD panels have reversed their downward trend in recent months, rising by as much as 10% in August.

According to market quotes, Open Cell (LCD panels excluding backlit modules) prices rose again in August, with 55-inch LCD panels hitting $125, $10 more than the previous month, or about 9% more.

Prices for low-end 32-inch LCD panels also recovered to $44, up $4 from the previous month, or about 10%.

The August price increase is the third straight month of price increases for LCD panels, and prices are expected to keep rising in September, though the increase should slow to less than 10%.

LCD panel price increases are expected to improve the financial situation of domestic brands such as BOE, Huaxing Optoelectronics and Tianma Microelectronics, which have been fighting price wars with Panel companies in South Korea, Japan and Taiwan due to competition.
