Recently, HARMAN, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung, unveiled its HARMAN Ready Display product solution during CES 2023, which includes Samsung's Neo QLED Auto screen, bringing Samsung's consumer electronics display technology to the automotive sector. Harman said rising consumer demand for in-car experiences is driving more demand for in-car displays. LCD technology does not offer higher-end displays, and Plastic OLED screens are too expensive to be used in all categories of automotive products.

The HARMAN Ready Display solution addresses these issues with a range of display products that provide a cost-effective in-vehicle display portfolio, achieve superior visual experiences, and leverage Samsung's innovation and sourcing scale in consumer electronics. HARMAN Ready Display is the first choice for on-board display.

The newly announced HARMAN Ready Display in-car display solution features a Neo QLED Auto screen for an outstanding visual experience closer to OLED at a lower price. The Neo QLED Auto display uses Samsung's proprietary technology to create an HDR-grade display with high contrast, high brightness, wide color gamut and true black using cadmium-free quantum dot film and Mini LED backlight technology.

In addition, the Neo QLED Auto screen offers a shorter optical range and an integrated die-cast body concept, allowing automakers to more easily integrate displays into the vehicle and gain more design flexibility than TFT displays.

According to the data, Harman's main products include connected vehicle systems, audio and video products, and enterprise automation solutions. With brands including AKG, Harman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon, Mark Levinson and others, Harman has now equipped more than 50 million vehicles with Harman audio and connected car systems.
