On April 12, Weishi Electronics announced that its subsidiary Huaian Weishi auctioned the state-owned land use right of 2023GG011A11 on the west side of the 21st Road with 15,627,200 yuan. This auction of state-owned land use right will be used for "lightweight vehicle new display module project".

It is reported that on March 16, Weishi Electronics announced that it planned to issue convertible bonds to raise no more than 590 million yuan, of which 490 million yuan will be used for investment in the project. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 4.33 million lightweight structural parts and 1.85 million display modules.

The new lightweight vehicle display module produced by this project is a combination of new backlight display module and lightweight magnesium aluminum structural parts. The product mainly adopts semi-solid injection molding, CNC, coating, formation, coating, solidification, electrical measurement, curing, assembly and other production technologies and processes, and is produced by the integrated mold developed and produced by Weishi Electronics.

Boe: The backlight vehicle project has been successfully imported

On April 3, BOE disclosed in its 2022 annual report that its backlit vehicle project has been successfully introduced into the 4.82-inch Mini LED project for domestic new energy customers.

Boe has previously said that long-term prospects for the development of MLED, OLED and other technologies. In terms of MLED, Mini LED backlight, especially with the combination of active drive and semiconductor display technology, will be able to fully enable TV, MNT, on-board and VR display market segments, which is expected to become the mainstream choice of consumer electronics backlight in the future.

Jichuang North: Mini LED driver chip is expected to be mass-produced this year

On March 30, Jichuang North announced on its official micro account that it has completed the layout and project pre-study of in-vehicle TDDI chips, in-vehicle Bridge chips, Mini LED driver chips and in-vehicle power management chips in response to the market demand for automotive intelligent cabins.

It is reported that Jichuang North has entered the test stage of Mini LED driver chip products are expected to achieve mass production this year, more car gauge chip products will be delivered to the sample this year. At the same time, Jichuang North focuses on the localization of chips strategy, realizing the localization of the whole industrial chain from design to production.

Huadincore: The mass production base is started to produce vehicle light source and Mini LED chip

On March 31, the mass production base of Huainxin (Zhangjiagang) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. was started.

It is reported that the base will host the two core light source chips, namely the vehicle light source chip and the new display light source chip, and mainly produce high-end light source chips with vertical and flip structure of the vehicle gauge level and Mini LED chips.

It is expected to achieve mass production of flip and vertical chip products by the end of December this year. After the production line is completed, the production capacity of 4-inch wafer will reach 10,000 pieces per month, and the monthly production and shipment of Mini LED light module will reach 30,000 units per month.

At present, Huayincore has invested and built a number of complete Mini LED production lines in Wuhan, Zhangjiagang and other places, covering the design, manufacturing and sales of the whole industrial chain of Mini LED" chip - seal test - module ".

Shentianma: Launched the vehicle display backlight solution based on AM Mini LED technology

On February 2, Shentianma announced that it will launch an on-board display backlight solution based on AM Mini LED technology.

Shentianma said the Mini LED backlight is mainly for medium size (tablet, laptop) and vehicle customers, and it will continue to optimize the existing on-board screen display solutions and actively promote project cooperation with customers.
